PARENTeam: The PARENTeam consists of workers involved in advice, information and referral for parents and carers of children aged from birth to 12 years. The PARENTeam facilitates parenting programs including Toddler Tunes and Stories, 1-2-3 Magic, Parents as TEachers, and Triple P. Emergency Relief: Available to people experiencing financial difficulties, the ER program may be able to assist with material aid which includes food vouchers, electricity account payment scheme and telstra bill assistance voucher.

Women's Resource Service: The service provides information, support & referral on matters relating to women's health, domestic violence, relationship issues, family or workplace. Appointments 6684 4299

Domestic Violence Outreach Program: The program operates from four locations across the Shire and assists women in or escaping violent relationships. Appointments 6684 4299 or 0420 997 329.

Brighter Futures North Coast: The MDNC has two Family Development Workers who provide a diverse suite of services to families that meet the target criteria. For more information phone 6684 6720.

Financial Counselling: Assistance from a qualified financial counsellor to make financial crisis more manageable by consolidating loans, budgeting and advocating on behalf of clients with creditors etc. Appointments 6622 2171.

Tax Help: This service operates from the end of July to October each year. An ATO trained Tax Help volunteer assists clients complete their tax return (Tax Pack). Appointments 6684 1286.

Soup Kitchen: Open every Wednesday evening from 5.00 to 6.00, the Kitchen provides a free delicious vegetarian meal.

Drop-In Centre: A safe place for members of the community to access other MDNC services, watch TV or meet with others and have a cuppa/sandwich.

Meeting Room: The MDNC has a room for hire that is suitable for meeting and small training/workshops. The meeting room has a small kitchenette and toilet. To hire for either an hourly or daily rate phone 6684 1286.

Community resources: Various services available to the public include computers (access to the internet and word processing), shower, fax & photocopying and community notice board (members of the community are welcome to place their notices, TAFE courses, happenings about town, entertainment etc)

Information & Referral: In the foyer you will find pamphlets covering a diverse range of services available to community members in the Byron and adjoining Shires. The worker at the front desk is also able to assist with enquiries and referral to other organisations. This service can be accessed by phone on 6684 1286.
